How We Process Live Fish Deliveries
All animals are shipped by DX Courier. This is one of the only couriers in the UK licensed to transport live fish. Here's how the fish is delivered to your destination:
- Once we receive your order, we will arrange a delivery date.
- Please make sure you provide a valid mobile phone number and email address. Avoid delays by providing up-to-date contact information at checkout. Keep an eye on your email and spam folders. We will send you an email to arrange the delivery.
- Delivery delays are possible. For welfare reasons, couriers will not ship live fish when daytime temperatures are excessively hot, or when night-time temperatures are near or below freezing. We will contact you every step of the way.

Brexit and the Impact on Transport
Since leaving the EU on 1 January 2021, the UK has also left the EU Customs Union and a single VAT territory. Customs clearance may be required to send goods between the UK and her EU, although currently not as strict as other non-EU countries. Some groups may not even need to organize this beforehand.
As a result of Brexit in the UK and increased bureaucracy in legislation, inquiries to operator groups are on the rise. Retailers and other groups may not have the staff or capacity to deal with the increased administrative burden of the separation of the EU customs union.
